Aoba is a girl who enjoys building robot models. After living alone with her grandmother, her grandmother dies, and Aoba is soon kidnapped and taken to a hidden base. There, she finds a massive robot. The base's piloted robots battle mysterious entities called "Ancient-Jinki" in a place known as The Grand Savanna, though the reasons for these fights remain unclear. Determined to uncover the truth, Aoba dedicates herself to working at the base, hoping to one day pilot a robot and learn its secrets.
