Naota is an ordinary boy who spends his idle days with an ordinary girl by the stream under a bridge. In this town, nothing out of the ordinary ever occurs. Even when Haruhara Haruko plows into him on her Vespa and later smacks him over the head with her Rickenbacker 4003 bass guitar, it doesn’t feel any different from any other day. The strange, seemingly random events that follow don’t disrupt the monotony of Naota’s dull life-because nothing truly remarkable ever happens here.
