The Republic of San Magnolia developed unmanned combat drones called "Juggernauts" to counter the attacks of the "Legion," autonomous drones deployed by the neighboring Empire of Giad. But the Juggernauts aren’t truly unmanned-they’re piloted by the "Eighty-Sixers," people treated as subhuman and used as disposable tools. Shin, the captain of Spearhead Squadron, a unit made up of Eighty-Sixers, fights in a hopeless war where death is the only certainty, driven by his own hidden motives.
