Ao Gennai is an ordinary high school freshman until a strange package arrives at her home. Inside is Gourai, a small humanoid robot called a Frame Arms Girl, designed for movement and combat. Unlike other robots, Gourai has a highly advanced AI that lets her develop a personality, learn, and evolve-almost like a real person. After Gourai wakes up, Ao suddenly finds herself surrounded by more of these intelligent robots, each appearing at her doorstep. With a generous reward motivating her, she dives into studying the Frame Arms Girls and their battles. Along the way, the robots begin to discover what it truly means to be human.
