Top Secret: The Revelation - S01

In the near future, a groundbreaking MRI technology allows investigators to extract memory images from the brains of crime victims and witnesses within 48 hours after death. While this innovation has helped solve numerous murders, it has also sparked ethical debates, putting Section Nine-the police unit overseeing these MRI investigations, led by Tsuyoshi Maki-under intense scrutiny from both the media and the government. The team must endure reliving traumatic events through the memories of victims and killers alike, while also navigating delicate negotiations with grieving families to secure consent for the scans. New recruit Ikkou Aoki, fresh out of the police academy, joins Section Nine to replace Katsuhiro Suzuki-Maki's late best friend and a former team member who died under mysterious circumstances after viewing disturbing MRI footage from a gruesome case. As seemingly unrelated incidents begin to connect to Suzuki's death, Section Nine finds itself confronting its most dangerous challenge yet, one that could destroy the unit entirely.
