ID: INVADED - S01

The Mizuhanome System is a cutting-edge technology that lets people delve into one of the most mysterious realms-the human mind. Detectives from the specialized police unit Kura use "cognition particles," traces left by criminals at crime scenes, to recreate a suspect’s unconscious thoughts as a surreal, shifting landscape in a virtual space. This psychological realm, called an "id well," holds the key to uncovering the perpetrator’s identity. But not everyone can enter an id well-only those who have taken a life themselves. This includes former detective Akihito Narihisago, who operates inside the wells under the alias "Sakaido." Once a respected officer, his life took a dark turn, landing him on the wrong side of the law. Now confined yet still aiding Kura, Narihisago’s sharp investigative skills remain invaluable. But as he digs deeper, he realizes these seemingly isolated murders may be connected-and something far more disturbing lies beneath the surface.
