After Vega's forces destroy the planet Fleed, Duke Fleed and his giant robot Grendizer flee to Earth. There, he is taken in by Dr. Amon, director of the Space Research Center, who gives him the new name Daisuke. Working together at the center, they investigate mysterious objects appearing in the city's skies. But when an unexpected attack strikes, it shocks Daisuke’s memories back to life.
