Getter Robo G

"Getter Robo G" is a super robot anime series created by Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa and animated by Toei Animation. It serves as a direct follow-up to "Getter Robo" and aired on Fuji TV from May 15, 1975, to March 25, 1976, spanning 39 episodes. Fans of Mattel's "Shogun Warriors" toy line might recognize the three robot forms from this series-Getter Dragon, Getter Liger, and Getter Poseidon-which were part of the collection. Due to the toys' popularity in the U.S., Jim Terry added the show to his "Force Five" anime lineup under the title "Starvengers." Some episodes were later redubbed and released by FB Productions as "Robo Formers." The original "Getter Robo" series has never been officially released in the U.S. In the U.K., "Starvengers" episodes were distributed on VHS by Krypton Force under the name "Formators."
