Ugly Girl

Tenkai is a popular bar and restaurant on a small European island, owned by a warmhearted immigrant everyone calls "Miss China." Alongside managing the business, she rents the upstairs space to Jim, a young inventor, and his partner, Mr. Breckenridge, who have turned it into a makeshift lab. Though dismissed by the scientific community, the two are determined to change the world with their inventions. But as their rent payments keep falling behind, Miss China’s patience is running out. To avoid being kicked out, Jim and Mr. Breckenridge must show their work is truly worth something.
