Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest
A new medium-length animated film will premiere in theaters in summer 2023. Alongside the summer brass band competition, there's the ensemble contest, nicknamed "Ancon," where groups deliver thrilling performances. Playing together as a unit has a unique appeal compared to solo competitions. To qualify for Kyoto’s Ancon prefectural tournament, Kitauji High School must first select a representative team through its own preliminaries. But with over 50 members in the brass band, tensions and challenges arise. Kumiko, the club’s newly chosen leader, must navigate these hurdles to secure their spot in the competition. The struggle to succeed begins now.
