Josee, the Tiger and the Fish
Tsuneo Suzukawa, a university student with a deep love for diving and marine biology, works multiple part-time jobs to save money for studying overseas. One evening, a chance encounter alters his plans when he meets a wheelchair-bound girl named Kumiko-though she insists on being called "Josee." At first, Josee seems abrasive, but Tsuneo reluctantly agrees to become her paid caretaker after her grandmother persuades him. Though frustrated by Josee's demanding attitude, he sticks with the job to earn more for his studies. Eventually, worn down by her behavior, he tries to quit-only to learn about Josee's own dream of experiencing the world beyond the confines of her disability. Moved by her longing, Tsuneo changes his mind and helps Josee explore the world around them. As they spend time together, they begin to see how their differences might actually help them both achieve what they truly want.
