Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

In a ruined world, Japan’s last stronghold is the heavily guarded city of Tokyo-3. Fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari is summoned to NERV, a secretive organization run by his distant father, Gendou. There, he’s asked to pilot an "Evangelion"-a massive android designed to battle monstrous beings called "Angels" that ravage the earth and endanger humanity’s survival. Though hesitant at first, Shinji agrees, hoping to reconnect with his father. As the pilot of Evangelion Unit-01, he joins the desperate fight against the Angels. Now, thrown into brutal combat, Shinji must gather the strength and determination to confront these relentless threats before they destroy what little remains of the world.
