Patlabor: The Movie
The Babylon Project is a large-scale effort to rebuild Tokyo’s neighborhoods, even extending into the bay with new artificial islands. Construction crews rely on "Labors"-specialized robots designed for heavy labor-to speed up the massive project. But when the man behind the project dies in a suspicious suicide, Captain Kiichi Gotou and his Patlabor police unit are called in to investigate. As rogue Labors start malfunctioning and a hacked AI system threatens Tokyo, rookie pilot Noa Izumi and her Labor unit, Alphonse, join Gotou’s team to stop the chaos. What begins as a simple investigation soon uncovers a dangerous conspiracy with ties to ancient biblical prophecy.
