After spending a year in America, Kurisu Makise comes back to Akihabara and meets up with Rintarou Okabe again. But their reunion doesn’t last long-Okabe starts seeing flashes of other timelines as the side effects of his time travel catch up to him. These visions grow worse until one day, he disappears completely, and only Kurisu remembers he ever existed. Devastated, Kurisu is forced to make an impossible choice. As a scientist, she knows she should heed Okabe’s warning and stay away from time travel to protect the world’s timelines. But as his friend, she can’t just abandon him.
