Umineko: When They Cry - S01

The third entry in the acclaimed When They Cry series, "Umineko no Naku Koro ni" follows the Ushiromiya family as they gather for their annual meeting on Rokkenjima, their private island. This year, with the aging patriarch Kinzou in poor health, the discussion turns to the distribution of his vast fortune. But Kinzou has far greater concerns-his physician has warned him his time is running out, and he is obsessed with reuniting with Beatrice, the Golden Witch, the woman he has long loved. Having devoted years to studying dark magic, Kinzou uses the family’s arrival as an opportunity to perform a ritual to summon her. Then, as a fierce typhoon cuts off all escape, a series of gruesome killings begins. With eighteen people trapped on the island, the line between reality and fantasy blurs, plunging them into a desperate battle for survival.
