Takopi's Original Sin - S01

A squid-like alien called a Happian leaves his home planet with a simple wish: to bring happiness to the universe. When he arrives on Earth, he narrowly avoids being captured by humans-until a quiet, unsmiling girl named Shizuka Kuze finds him. She feeds him and gives him the name Takopii. Grateful for her kindness, Takopii vows to make her smile, no matter what. But it won’t be easy. Shizuka is bullied at school, her father is gone, and her mother is rarely home-though Takopii, being naive, doesn’t fully grasp the weight of her struggles. The only bright spot in Shizuka’s life is her beloved dog, Chappy. Seeing their bond only strengthens Takopii’s resolve to bring her joy. His well-meaning efforts often backfire, but Takopii refuses to give up. He’ll keep trying, learning what it means to be human along the way, all for the sake of his one true mission: spreading happiness.
