Taisho Baseball Girls - S01
大正野球娘。 , Taishou Era Baseball Daughters, Taishou Era Baseball Girls
In 1925, the fourteenth year of the Taisho era, baseball is still unfamiliar in Japan, with only a handful of men’s teams. When a baseball player dismissively tells 14-year-old Akiko that women belong at home rather than in school, she recruits her friend Koume to form a team and prove him wrong. At a time when even running is considered unladylike, baseball is seen as strictly for boys, and the girls struggle to gather enough players, gain their parents’ approval, and learn the sport itself-only to realize it’s far harder than they imagined.
