A beach trip becomes more than just a summer getaway for two people burdened by grief. Maybe the strange girl called the "Umi Warabe" can guide them toward healing and finding a way forward. Yoshihiro Matsunaga is supervising a group of high school students on their seaside vacation. One night, he rescues Nao Morisawa, one of the students, as she tries to drown herself. A year ago, Nao took this same trip with her fiance, who later died in a plane crash. As Yoshihiro and Nao grow closer, it becomes clear he carries his own painful past. All the while, a mysterious girl lingers in the background, appearing at pivotal moments in their lives.
