Pupa - S01

Abandoned by their abusive parents and left with only each other, siblings Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa are drawn into danger by mysterious red butterflies appearing in their world. These crimson insects signal the arrival of a horrifying threat-a virus called Pupa, which brings with it a nightmarish wave of cannibalism. When Yume is fully infected by Pupa, she transforms into a monstrous being consumed by an endless hunger for flesh. Utsutsu, only partially affected, gains the ability to heal rapidly from injuries. Despite the horror, he clings to his vow to protect his sister at any cost. "Pupa" follows Utsutsu’s desperate fight to save Yume while preventing her ravenous instincts from destroying everything-and everyone-around them.
