Natsume's Book of Friends: The Waking Rock and the Strange Visitor
While looking for Nyanko-sensei, Takashi Natsume meets a timid and small youkai named Mitsumi. Mitsumi has been given an important task by his leader, the powerful ayakashi Gantetsu: to serve as this year’s "Ishi Okoshi" and wake him from his long sleep. Seeing how much Mitsumi wants to prove himself as a capable servant, Natsume agrees to help. But they aren’t the only ones trying to awaken the divine being-time is running out. One day, Natsume’s friend Kaname Tanuma is approached by a strange man. Over the next few days, the visitor briefly speaks with him before leaving. Natsume soon realizes the outsider is actually a youkai in human form, though it insists it means no harm. Despite trusting the youkai, Tanuma’s health begins to decline, making Natsume question its true intentions. What is the reason for its sudden appearance, and what does it want with Tanuma?
