Natsume's Book of Friends the Movie: Ephemeral Bond

Takashi Natsume and his spirit companion Madara, known as "Nyanko," keep returning the names of spirits bound in the Book of Friends-a legacy from his late grandmother, Reiko Natsume. One afternoon after school, Takashi meets a spirit named Monmonbou, who recognizes his name and shares memories of Reiko. Drawn by curiosity, Takashi visits the strange town where his grandmother once lived. There, he befriends Yorie Tsumura, an old acquaintance of Reiko, and her son Mukuo, learning more about his grandmother's forgotten past. Meanwhile, Nyanko wanders off in search of food and finds a peculiar "Spirit Seed" that grows into a fruit tree overnight. Unable to resist, Nyanko eats the fruit-only to split into three separate beings. As Takashi and his friends try to help Nyanko, they stumble upon deeper mysteries hidden within the town.
