Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket - S01

Alfred Izuruha is a ten-year-old boy living in Side 6, a neutral space colony. Like many kids his age, he’s fascinated by the ongoing war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. What he doesn’t know is that his neighbor, Christina, is secretly the test pilot for a prototype Gundam being developed by the Federation within the colony. Meanwhile, Zeon sends a Special Forces unit to infiltrate Side 6 with orders to either capture or destroy the Gundam. When a clash erupts between Federation and Zeon forces, Alfred stumbles upon a downed Zaku mobile suit, piloted by a young Zeon soldier named Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman. The two form an unexpected friendship-Alfred gets to learn more about the war he’s obsessed with, while Bernie hopes to gather useful intel about the colony to help his team’s mission.
