Martian Successor Nadesico - S01
機動戦艦ナデシコ , Kidou Senkan Nadeshiko, Mobile Battleship Nadesico
Akito has no interest in fighting. Even though he grew up watching the mecha anime "Gekiganger 3," he prefers cooking over piloting giant robots. But when his home on Mars is destroyed, he’s inexplicably transported to Earth with no explanation. Searching for answers, he crosses paths with a girl named Yurika, the captain of the private battleship Nadesico. To stay close to her, he joins the crew as their cook. Though reluctant, he has nanite implants that let him pilot mechas, making him a useful backup for the ship’s fighters. The Nadesico’s crew seems like a ragtag group of misfits, otakus, and oddballs, but they’re actually skilled specialists united by a shared goal: revenge for Mars. As they take their personal war back to their home planet, Akito learns that real life isn’t as simple as a mecha anime-and the truth might be harder than he imagined.
