Love and Lies

In a futuristic Japan, the government enforces a system called "The Red Threads of Science" to tackle declining birthrates by arranging marriages based on calculated compatibility. At age 16, citizens are assigned partners, and refusing comes with harsh consequences. Yukari Nejima, an ordinary teenager, sees this as his best chance at a stable future-until he impulsively confesses his love to Misaki Takasaki, his longtime crush. Though hesitant at first, Misaki returns his feelings. Before they can explore their relationship, Yukari receives his official marriage assignment. His reluctant partner, Ririna Sanada, becomes strangely intrigued by his forbidden romance, pulling Yukari into a tangled mix of love and deception.
