Kids on the Slope - S01

Kaoru Nishimi, a quiet and studious classical pianist, starts his first year of high school in Kyushu. Used to moving frequently since childhood, he expects another lonely year without connections-until he meets Sentarou Kawabuchi, the school's infamous troublemaker. Sentarou's passion for jazz sparks Kaoru's curiosity, drawing him out of his shell for the first time. Soon, Kaoru finds himself playing piano in after-school jazz sessions held in the basement of Ritsuko Mukae's family record shop. Through music, he discovers the happiness of sharing his talent with others, turning what could have been another forgettable year into a summer he'll never forget. "Sakamichi no Apollon" is a story of friendship, music, and love, following three very different people united by their love for jazz.
