Glass Mask - S01
ガラスの仮面 (2005)
Two girls, one dream, and the world as their stage. At thirteen, Maya Kitajima expects nothing more than a life of hard work in a busy restaurant with her troubled mother-until her extraordinary acting talent catches the eye of the legendary Chigusa Tsukikage. Suddenly, Maya faces a future full of dazzling opportunities and daunting risks. Ayumi Himekawa, on the other hand, has always had success handed to her, but she yearns to prove herself on her own merits, free from her parents' fame. Both girls set their sights on the same prize: the lead role of "The Crimson Goddess" in the play written by Chigusa. To earn it, they must push themselves beyond their limits, mastering every challenge acting throws their way. Only one can claim the role-and for that to happen, the other must lose.
