Gekidol - S01

Five years ago, a strange event called the Global Synchronic Urban Disappearance wiped out a large part of Ikebukuro overnight. In the aftermath, the survivors struggled with chaos, and odd electromagnetic disturbances known as "Auroras" started appearing. High school student Seria Morino is captivated by a performance from idol Izumi Hinazaki, who stars in a play using the "Super Material Theater"-a high-tech stage meant to bring life back to Ikebukuro through hologram-enhanced shows. Inspired, Seria dreams of becoming an idol herself. Soon after, she’s approached by Kaoru Sakakibara, a woman who reveals she’s the director of Alice in Theater, the troupe Izumi once belonged to. Eager to chase her dreams, Seria joins Alice in Theater. When she arrives, she’s warmly greeted by a lively group of girls who share her passion for acting. But something feels off-like there’s more to this troupe than meets the eye.
