Farewell, My Dear Cramer - S01

Women’s soccer in Japan has been losing popularity over the years, but a few school teams still cling to the sport, offering faint sparks of hope. Nozomi Onda, who played with boys in middle school, has extraordinary skills-so much so that she believes playing with girls would only hold her back. She only gives her best when facing opponents she respects. On the other hand, Sumire Suou is a gifted rookie whose potential is stifled by a team that can’t match her talent. When Onda’s former coach persuades her to join a girls’ soccer club, and Suou arrives with her friend and rival Midori Soshizaki, the two end up as teammates at Warabi Seinan High School. Here, they begin to unlock their true abilities. Every move, pass, and goal they make could lead not just to victory, but also to reviving the fading spotlight on women’s soccer.
