Elfen Lied - S01

Lucy is a Diclonius-a rare kind of human born with small horns and invisible telekinetic powers. Because of her abilities, she becomes the subject of brutal government experiments. When she finally gets a chance to escape, the years of captivity and cruelty twist her, and she leaves a trail of violence in her wake. During the chaos of her breakout, she suffers a severe head injury that fractures her mind, leaving her with the innocent, childlike personality of "Nyu"-someone gentle, barely able to speak. In this fragile state, she crosses paths with Kouta and Yuka, two college students who take her in out of pity, unaware of the danger lurking beneath her fractured psyche. Their act of compassion pulls them into a dark world of government cover-ups and hidden horrors.
