Detroit Metal City - S01

Detroit Metal City (DMC) is a leading name in underground music, famous for its brutal, over-the-top death metal sound. The band’s frontman, Johannes Krauser II, is portrayed as a terrifying demon risen from hell to rule over humanity-or at least, that’s the image the band sells. In reality, Krauser II is just a stage persona for Souichi Negishi, a mild-mannered college graduate who prefers quiet days and Swedish pop. Forced to play the part of a metal god to pay the bills, Negishi struggles to balance his chaotic double life. The story follows his awkward attempts to navigate DMC’s outrageous performances, a potential romance, and the relentless devotion of his fans-all while keeping his true identity hidden.
