Blue Giant
Dai Miyamoto fell in love with jazz after a chance encounter with the music, and ever since, he’s been determined to become the greatest saxophonist in the world. With just three years of practice under his belt, he takes a leap and moves to Tokyo to chase his musical dreams. At a tiny club, he crosses paths with Yukinori Sawabe, a pianist with classical training. Dai is convinced they’d make the perfect musical partners, but Yukinori isn’t so sure-he doubts Dai’s bold ambitions, especially from someone so inexperienced. But when he hears Dai play, the raw talent is impossible to ignore, and Yukinori reluctantly agrees. Together with Shunji Tamada, a drummer even greener than Dai, the three form JASS. Their fresh sound could be exactly what the stagnant jazz scene needs.
