Zakuro - S01

Second Lieutenant Kei Agemaki, the son of a well-known general, has spent his life hiding his intense fear of supernatural creatures. But when he and two others are transferred to the Ministry of Spirit Affairs-where they must live and work alongside youkai-he comes face-to-face with his deepest terror. With the guidance of the fox spirit Kushimatsu, Kei and his fellow officers must learn to cooperate with the youkai maidens-Zakuro, Susukihotaru, Hoozuki, and Bonbori-to solve paranormal mysteries. Set in an alternate version of Japan during its Westernization, "Otome Youkai Zakuro" delves into the tensions and connections that arise between east and west, tradition and foreign influence, and men and women. As the world shifts around them, the unlikely partnership between the youkai maidens and human officers is tested, forcing them to find common ground.
