Wise Man's Grandchild - S01
賢者の孫 , Philosopher's Grandson, Magi's Grandson
In the kingdom of Earlshide, Merlin Wolford was once celebrated as a hero, respected for his strength and deeds. But he chooses to live a solitary life in the remote woods, focusing on raising an orphan he rescued-Shin, a former Japanese salaryman reincarnated into this world with his memories intact. Over time, Shin shows extraordinary skill in magic and combat, leaving Merlin both proud and bewildered. Yet by his fifteenth birthday, it’s clear Shin has mastered only fighting, leaving him socially clueless, lacking common sense, and irresponsible in everyday matters. To grow beyond this, he enrolls at the kingdom’s Magic Academy, hoping to learn and mature alongside other students. But his reputation precedes him, and he quickly becomes a local celebrity, making an ordinary school life impossible. As Shin adapts to life in the capital, he forms friendships, discovers more about the world, and confronts the dangers threatening his city.
