Wangan Midnight - S01

Every night, street racers flock to Tokyo's Wangan Route, chasing nothing but pure speed. Among them, a newcomer draws the veterans' attention when he buys a Nissan Fairlady Z-a car notorious as "The Devil Z." Despite warnings from Eriko Asakura, whose brother Akio died in a crash involving the same car, the new owner, who shares Akio's name, becomes obsessed with the vehicle's eerie power, even after wrecking it twice. Now a high school dropout working to fund his car repairs, Akio bonds with local racers: the legendary driver of the Porsche 911 Turbo, nicknamed "Blackbird"; Tatsuya Shima, a brilliant surgeon; and Reina Akikawa, a model by day and an unmatched racer in her Nissan Skyline GT-R at night. Through them, Akio tracks down Jun Kitami, the reclusive designer behind The Devil Z's engine. After meeting Akio, Jun returns to crafting powerful, deadly engines. Meanwhile, the Wangan racers find themselves locked in an endless, desperate battle against The Devil Z.
