Viewtiful Joe - S01

Joe, a red-haired movie enthusiast, and his girlfriend Silvia are going through a rough patch. Silvia thinks Joe takes her for granted and wishes they could spend more time together, so he suggests seeing an old action film starring his idol, Captain Blue. Their simple movie date turns disastrous when Silvia gets sucked into the film by Jado, the villainous leader of an evil group. Desperate to save her, Joe chases after her into the strange world of "Movieland," where Captain Blue gives him a powerful gadget called the V-Watch. Using it, Joe transforms into the action hero "Viewtiful Joe" and sets out to rescue Silvia before Jado can use her to conquer the world. It won’t be easy going from an ordinary guy to a full-fledged hero, but Joe is determined to save both his girlfriend and the world-and he’ll do it in the most "viewtiful" way he can.
