A man is blackmailed into playing a dating simulator set in a matriarchal world. Forced to endure its frustrating and complicated mechanics, he grinds through the game until he finally beats it-but the marathon sessions leave him exhausted and starving. On his way to the convenience store to grab food, he trips down the stairs and blacks out. When he wakes up, he makes a horrifying discovery: he’s been reborn inside the game as Leon Fou Bartfort, a minor background character. Now stuck in the world he hated, Leon must rely on his knowledge of the game’s story to survive and find his way in a society rigged against him.
