Train to the End of the World - S01

The launch of 7G Network technology was supposed to bring incredible progress, but instead, it threw Japan into turmoil. The landscape shifted unpredictably, people underwent strange mutations, and everyday life was rewritten by new, unknown rules. In the town of Agano, one of the last surviving settlements, everyone over the age of 21 has turned into animals. Shizuru Chikura, a high school student from Agano, is determined to find her missing friend, Youka Nakatomi. When she spots a newspaper photo placing Youka in Ikebukuro, she prepares to leave-but with public transportation gone, her choices are slim. Help comes from Tairo Zenjirou, a forgetful old conductor and the only adult human left in town, who teaches her how to drive an abandoned train. With her path set, Shizuru sets off on her journey. But as she departs, her classmates-Nadeshiko Hoshi, Reimi Kuga, and Akira Shinonome-suddenly join her. Together, they embark on a risky trip down the rails, where the dangers ahead may be worse than anything they've faced in Agano.
