Tonari no Yokai-san - S01

In the town of Engamori, humans, yokai, and gods have coexisted for centuries, all trying to live quiet, ordinary lives. Buchio, a 20-year-old cat, unexpectedly transforms into a nekomata-a feline yokai-near the end of his life. While this lets him remain with his human family longer, it also leaves him wondering why this change happened and what to make of the strange new powers he’s developed. At the same time, a young girl named Mutsumi "Muu-chan" Sugimoto grows closer to Jirou, a crow-like tengu yokai, who slowly fills the role left empty by her late father. Though neither knows how to express their feelings at first, they gradually form a bond, learning to rely on and protect one another.
