To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts - S01

The Patrian civil war led the outnumbered Northerners to create half-beast, half-human soldiers in a desperate bid to match the Southern forces' strength. These soldiers, called "Incarnates," became unstoppable on the battlefield, winning battles effortlessly. But as the war dragged on, they struggled with an uncontrollable beastly side-one that normal methods couldn't fix. After the war ended, rumors spread of Incarnates suffering from the lingering horrors of combat. Hank Henriette, a former Incarnate captain turned Special Sergeant Major, now works as a Beast Hunter-someone who puts down Incarnates consumed by their wartime afflictions. When Nancy Schaal Bancroft's father, a former Incarnate soldier, is killed by a Beast Hunter, she vows revenge. But after confronting the hunter, she begins questioning the truth behind her father's death and the troubled place of Incarnates in society.
