Thunderbirds 2086 - S01

"Thunderbirds 2086" is set about twenty years after the original series, which is typically placed around 2065, though some on-screen dates differ. It follows the Thunderbirds, a rescue team operating under the International Rescue Organisation (IRO). Unlike the original small, family-run International Rescue, the IRO in 2086 is a large, multi-branch organization supervised by the Federation, a future version of the United Nations. While no direct links are made between the two series, it’s implied the original group expanded into this new form over the years. The Tracy family isn’t referenced in the animated version. In this series, "Thunderbirds" refers to the team itself, whereas in the original, it only named their vehicles. The show’s format remains similar, with most episodes focusing on the team responding to disasters, whether natural or man-made. However, "Thunderbirds 2086" introduces an ongoing storyline involving the Shadow Axis, a separatist group led by the enigmatic Star Crusher. The series strongly hints that Star Crusher isn’t human and could be an alien being.
