On a sweltering summer day in Kyoto, a young man trudges home, looking forward to cooling off under his air conditioner. But his plans are ruined when Ozu spills soda all over the remote, leaving it useless. Stuck in the miserable August heat with his friends, they resign themselves to suffering-until they discover a working time machine in their storage room. Without thinking through the consequences, they decide to go back in time and retrieve the remote before Ozu can break it. But what starts as a simple errand turns into an unexpected adventure far beyond anything they imagined.
