The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon
Susanoo, the youngest son of the creation gods Izanagi and Izanami, is a formidable warrior who can overpower tigers with his bare hands. When his mother dies, he is heartbroken and resolves to journey to Heaven to find her. He carves a boat from a tree and, accompanied by his rabbit friend Akahana, sets out across the sea. Unsure how to reach Heaven, Susanoo first seeks guidance from his brother Tsukuyomi, ruler of the Night Kingdom, and his sister Amaterasu, ruler of the Light Kingdom. Though they warn him of the perils ahead, neither can give him directions or dissuade him from his quest. As Susanoo presses on toward the edge of the world, the eight-headed dragon Orochi stirs, blocking his path.
