The Gokusen - S01

Kumiko Yamaguchi is a bright, eager young woman starting her dream job as a math teacher at Shirokin Academy. But on her first day, she quickly learns the all-boys school is overrun with delinquents-students who have no interest in learning and teachers too afraid to discipline them. What her unruly class doesn’t realize is that Kumiko isn’t just a nerdy new teacher. She’s secretly the acting boss of a powerful yakuza clan, with the strength to take down even the toughest gangsters in seconds. To keep her teaching job, she has to hide her true abilities and criminal ties. But between the vice principal scheming to fire her and Shin Sawada, the leader of her troublesome class, starting to suspect she’s more than she seems, Kumiko’s teaching career is going to be anything but easy.
