The Flying House - S01

During a game of hide-and-seek, a boy named Justin Casey (Gen) finishes counting and starts looking for his friends Angela ("Angie") and Corkey Roberts (Kanna and Tsukubo Natsuyama). As he searches for the siblings in the woods, a sudden storm breaks out. Justin sneaks up on them just before the rain starts, forcing them to run for shelter. They stumble upon a house in the woods that Justin swears wasn’t there before. At first, the house seems empty-until they meet a robot named Solar Ion Robot (Kadenchin),or SIR for short. Soon after, they’re introduced to the house’s owner, Professor Humphrey Bumble (Dr. Tokio Taimu),who shows them his greatest invention: a time machine. The professor tries to power it by recreating Benjamin Franklin’s lightning experiment with a kite outside, but instead of working properly, it briefly alters SIR’s personality before sending the entire house hurtling into the past. The children have no idea how long it will take to return home, thanks to the professor’s miscalculations and flawed time travel methods. Along the way, they witness-and sometimes take part in-key events from the New Testament, from John the Baptist’s birth to the rise of the Apostle Paul, all without facing any real consequences.
