During a computer class at school, Saneatsu Narita encounters a strange screen with a yes-or-no question that vanishes almost instantly. The next morning, he wakes up to a world where nearly everyone has died-except for him and a handful of others. A mysterious figure calling themselves the Emperor reveals the truth behind the situation. The question Saneatsu saw was part of a deadly game called "Tasuuketsu." Each day, the survivors are shown a new question, and their answers decide who lives or dies. Choosing the same answer as the majority means certain death, and the last person standing will get to meet the Emperor. Determined to outplay the Emperor, Saneatsu searches for hidden envelopes that grant special abilities to the players. With the help of his small group of allies, he must navigate the deadly game while avoiding the traps set by the other survivors.
