Taisho Otome Fairy Tale - S01

Tamahiko Shima, a self-proclaimed pessimist, lives in isolation in the mountains of Chiba after a car accident took his mother's life and left his right hand useless. Cast aside by his wealthy father and relatives, who see him as a burden, he spends his days reading and his nights wrestling with despair. Bound by his family's pride, Tamahiko accepts his fate-to remain in solitude until death relieves him of his misery. One snowy night, a knock at the door disrupts his sleepless brooding. Standing outside is 14-year-old Yuzuki Tachibana, who declares she has come to be his future wife. Tamahiko recalls his father’s vague promise to send someone to help him with his daily struggles. Though Yuzuki was sold into marriage to settle her family's debts, she is kind, hardworking, and sincerely devoted to Tamahiko. But can this weary young man, hardened by life's cruelty, recognize the warmth her presence brings to his bleak existence?
