Descending Stories - S01

The story is included with special editions of the manga's seventh and eighth volumes. After being released from prison, a man knows exactly where to go. Having fallen in love with a traditional comic storyteller's performance of "Shinigami," he's determined to become the man's apprentice. The storyteller, Yakumo, has never taken on a student before-yet, to everyone's surprise, he agrees, giving the eager ex-convict the nickname "Yotaro." As Yotaro settles into his new life, he meets those close to Yakumo, including Konatsu, the young woman under his care. Konatsu is the daughter of a famous storyteller, taken in by Yakumo after her father's untimely death. She adored her father's craft and dreams of performing herself-but as a woman, that path is closed to her.
