SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist - S01

Japan has imposed strict new morality laws, erasing anything deemed obscene or impure. Authorities enforce these rules by tracking citizens through special neck-worn devices, ensuring society remains chaste. In this sexually repressed world, Tanukichi Okuma-son of a notorious terrorist who fought the chastity laws-starts high school. He joins the student council to get closer to its president, Anna Nishikinomiya, his childhood crush. But he doesn’t know the vice president, Ayame Kajou, hides a secret identity: she’s Blue Snow, a masked rebel distributing lewd material to the sheltered public. Intrigued by Tanukichi’s infamous father, she draws him into her underground group, SOX, where he’s roped into spreading obscene propaganda to challenge the government’s oppression. As their school becomes the first battleground, Tanukichi faces a dilemma-their main target is Anna, the person he admires most.
