Say "I Love You." - S01

Mei, Aiko, Asami, and Nagi are baking cookies at Mei’s house. Since it might take a while, Nagi kicks Yamato out. He gets a text from Kai asking if he wants to meet at the park. When Yamato arrives, he realizes it’s the same worn-down park where they first talked and became friends. After some playful teasing, Kai asks why Yamato, who always seemed surrounded by friends, was the first one at the park every day after school. Yamato admits he used to feel like a chameleon-someone without a real personality, just changing to fit in. Kai says he used to hate the town, but because of Yamato, he now finds it beautiful. He reassures Yamato that he’s his own person, and Yamato confesses that meeting Mei made him realize how lonely he’d been. Later, Kai runs into Megumi at the bus stop. They talk, and Kai says he admires her for staying true to herself while modeling. Megumi snaps at him, and Kai, upset, walks away. When Momo shows up, Megumi regrets her outburst and gets flustered when Momo teases her about liking Kai. Back at Mei’s house, the cookies are finished and turn out great. Mei’s mom shooes Mei and Yamato outside. Yamato hugs Mei and tells her he’s happy she’s with him. They watch the sunset together before walking off hand in hand.
