The DVDs for manga volumes 6 and 7 each include an OVA episode. The first OVA, written by the manga's author, serves as a prequel. It shows how Rea and Chihiro first met at an outdoor hot-spring bath before the events of the main story. The second OVA is set after the series (acting as an unofficial episode 14). The Furuya family discovers a strange young girl hiding beneath their household temple.
